Kota Kinabalu is the starting point for seeing the natural wonders of Malaysian Borneo and serves as its hub. Kota Kinabalu was formerly a small fishing town known as Api-Api. In 1899, when it was still under British colonial rule, the area adopted the name Jesselton. In 1967, the town was renamed Kota Kinabalu to honour the nearby Mount Kinabalu. The Atkinson Clock Tower and the Sabah Tourism Board building (the former Jesselton Post Office) are two of the few remaining World War II era landmarks. Combined with the fast-developing city and the large, towering old trees that line the edge of Signal Hill, these historical landmarks give Kota Kinabalu its distinctive aesthetic character.

The waterfront of the popular Kota Kinabalu resort, which features a marina and a golf course in addition to several hip bars, restaurants, and hotel chains. Here are the top 10 places you can enjoy your late night supper in Kota Kinabalu.

Great time at the Brass Monkey. There were many laughs and good meals. The owner is a real gem who took care of us and made us laugh a lot. A pleasant atmosphere with a bit of magic. The eating area was open and airy. The owner is kind and makes sure that the food is at its best for his customers. Gave us a warm feeling about the meal as a whole. The crab pasta, the rib eye steak, mushroom soup, mango seafood salad and the famous dessert, swinging to the Rhythm of the Jungle.

The great value for money is one of the best things about this place. The prices are very fair, especially when you consider how good and fresh the fish is.
